May 1982 - The Cure's 'Pornography' released.
September 1982 - Michael born.
December 1982 - Richard born.
May 1984 - Jaime born.
January 1986 - Bon Jovi's 'Slippery When Wet' released.
December 1986 - Charlotte born.
September 1987 - After about 2 years of playing a plastic toy sword tied with dressing gown chord along to Dire Straits' 'Alchemy Live', Michael gets his first guitar.
Later in September 1987 - Richard impresses Michael with 'the-spinning-jump -sit-onto-the-reading-mat-in-Mrs-Morris'-first-year-infants'-class' manoeuvre. Instant best friends.
February 1988 - Richard takes up piano.
October 1988 - Thin Lizzy's 'Rosalie' gets absorbed by Michael's psyche
October 1992 - Michael attends the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley feat. the rest of Queen, GnR, Metallica, Bowie, Page & Plant and gets rocked.
December 1993 - Michael gets his first electric guitar (the JV strat) for Christmas, along with some fetching pre-ripped, shell-suit lined jeans.
February 1994 - Green Day's 'Dookie' released.
August 1994 - Manic Street Preachers' The Holy Bible released.
May 1995 - Michael and Richard discover punk rock.
April 1997 - Richard decides to play drums (thanks primarily to Tre Cool and Terry Williams!).
August 1997 - Michael and Richard spend a two week holiday in France with The Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness on constant rotation. The light was seen (er, heard).
July 1998 - Richard gets a real drumkit.
November 1998 - Through school Richard meets Jaime. Richard and Jaime meet Charly. Jaime and Charly witness Michael and Richard play Siva. Michael introduces Jaime and Charly to The Guitar Solo.
September 1999 - Neil Moore buys Michael Pantera's 'Far Beyond Driven' for his birthday (hero!). Richard falls in love with it.
November 1999 - After years of titting about, Richard and Michael decide they should probably form a proper band, and ask Jaime to join them on bass. Armed with a big muff, a bottle of JD, some swearing and the most painful PA system known to man, the band rock school assembly. Everybody hates it. Members of staff run out clutching their ears. They can now consider themselves a 'proper band'.
January 2000 - Jaime buys Pantera's Cowboys From Hell, and so begins the transition from feather boas and floppy hair to weight training, and grade 0 haircuts.
February 2000 - In an attempt to break out of the 3-piece, punk mould the boys recruit Charly on bass while Jaime gets himself an SG, practice begins for the first 'real' gig. It will be three months until Charly utters a word to anyone.
March 2000 - HFTC play at The Square in Harlow. The set contains ONE original song (Surrogate)!
June 2000 - AEnima by Tool becomes the band's joint favourite album. Danny Carey threatens Jimmy Chamberlin's throne (as King Drum Hero Man).
September 2000 - Mr Bungle play their last ever gig.
Later in September 2000 - The whole band discover a) Mr Bungle, b) the recently missed gig, and consequently c) that the world is not a fair place.
November 2000 - All four members do however witness the final UK shows of the Smashing Pumpkins.
September 2001 - Michael and Richard piss off to University (in Leeds and London respectively).
January 2002 - Unfazed by the distance between the members the band record their first demo with Pete Booker (Memory As Affliction, Stone, Surrogate and The Journey To And From).
July 2002 - Richard's buys his fourth splash cymbal, the rest of the band decide this is getting out of hand.
August 2002 - The band go on the first annual holiday to Charly's mum's clifftop castle (flat) in Broadstairs. Drunken buffoonery ensues, including Michael going down to the beach in Charly's nightie (and ONLY Charly's nightie) at 3am.
September 2002 - Jaime joins Michael at Leeds University, partying happens, Refused get discovered, Dandy Warhols get partied to and QOTSA get rocked at.
June 2003 - Michael tries to work out where The Cure have been his whole life then spends the next few months in bed with Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography on VERY LOUDLY!
July 2003 - Having been playing and writing together for about 3 years, the band feel ready to record an uber-demo of 12 songs. The drums are recorded by Bartrum at Odessa Studios in Clapton, with the rest of the parts to be added at home.
August 2003 - Second annual Broadstairs trip. Greater buffoonery ensues, including 3am strolls in full goth make-up.
July 2004 - Third annual Broadstairs trip. Buffoonery of epic proportions ensues, this time featuring Jaime walking back from the beach at 3am with no clothes on.
June 2005 - 2 years, 2 degrees, hundreds of miles, much slacking and lots of sporadic recording, artwork, mixing and mastering sessions later, the EPs collection is finally finished! Now go read the news section...
