18th September 2007
6th August 2007
As of August, things will be a little quieter on the HFTC front for a while. Charly is off to South Africa for three weeks and then just as she gets back Jaime is off to Turkey for two...
In this down time we'll still be working on the 4th EP and booking gigs for October onwards.
We've updated the Images page with photos from the recent gig at 93FeetEast, curtousey again of Natalie Adams and The One Finger Ninja.
Until then...
8th July 2007
We have a few gigs in close proximity coming up at the end of this month. Were supposed to launch 2007 with a gig at the Pleasure Unit in Bethnal Green but due to promoter malfunction and general incompetency of the organisers, it never happened.
However, thanks to the lovely people at Epiphany (as well as the always assertive Ms. Amy Hanley!) we're now playing on 30th July.
The Pleasure Unit. Nearest tube: Bethnal Green (central line).
The other is on 2nd August when we'll make our return to the awesome 93FeetEast:

Thanks to Stacey from etheral, math-poppers Instruments for creating the flyers.
29th June 2007
Thanks to everyone who tuned in/sent in questions last night. If you visit Curveballs you can find a complete track listing of last night's show as well as a podcast. Thanks to Nick for having us and letting us plug our shit and for the opportunity to answer some deeply metaphysical and epistemological questions! He's given Bungle Jr lots of rotation for the last few weeks as well - be sure to check 'em out!
12th June 2007
**Phoenix 98FM update**
We will now be appearing on on Curveballs two weeks later than expected on 28th June but make sure you still tune in this week. Nick will be talking to Pleasure Dead Cell as well as playing some of their records (something we fully endorse!).
5th June 2007
**HFTC Radio Debut on Phoenix 98FM**
On the 14th June we will be heading over to the Phoenix 98FM HQ in Brentwood to appear on Nick Field's Thursday night alternative radio show Curveballs. From 10pm til 12pm we'll be answering your questions, plugging the shows and talking copious amounts of crap as well as giving the first airing of our brand new track "Broken Thoughts". I think we're gonna get to play a bunch records which are close to our hearts as well so make sure you tune in.
Oh yeah, that's right.... We finally recorded slow burning, set closer Broken Thoughts! Head on over to the audio page and have a listen - the links are also there for download. This is the second track (of four) to be completed for our 4th EP and also the last you'll hear until its release in (the end of the year).
Phoenix 98FM
1st June 2007
Our good friend Tom Lafferty (in association with Team Everest) has put together a charity gig on 20th June to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospice For Children. ALL proceeds will go to this end. Joining us on the bill are:
- Dr. Rock & The Kidneystones
- Tom Clark and Nathan Octavia
- Making Smoke (Tom's own band)
Its at The Cross Kings in Kings Cross and kicks off at seven. For more details see opposite...
27th May 2007
In what many have described as our best gig to date - The Metro Club on Oxford Street was rocked to its very foundations last night. Our first visit there was made even louder and more emotional by the monolithic Surface To Air and the lovely Rhoads. Major roadworks, shit directions, lack of beer, lack of money, infuriating door policies and even a cadaver on a National Rail Service(!) threatened to sour the evening, but not tonight. One of those special moments where everything goes right - thanks to all that came for making it so.
8th May, 2007
Yesterday was the inagural Musictek Music Festival held at Central Park in Dagenham. Thanks to everyone who came down and supported! We sold 3/4 of our 100 ticket book to you bastards which along with an 'interesting' performance helped us secure a slot on the main stage next year.
It looked like the elements were going to actually bring the day to grinding halt at one point - there was the initial problem at the gates with people's entry, on-off torrential rain, the generator malfunction and subsequent late running of the bands, low-flying sound tents (love to Amy's mother!!) but with the efforts of all the staff and the bands involved the day was still considered a success, if also a learning curve for what can be done in 2008!
A mention must go out to great performances from The Jays, The Gourami, The Flow, Near Death Experiment, InMe, Forever Never, Adastreia and Pleasure Dead Cell
We also shifted fifteen more of our 'EPs 1-3' disc and got the opportunity to meet a bunch of new fans which was cool. We'll see you at The Metro!
28th April, 2007
We've been added to the Waffleon Stage of this(!):

Details of this and of our 'to be confirmed' Metro gig on Sat 26th May 2007 to follow soon...
26th April, 2007
93FE photos by Luke 'www.theonefingerninja.com' Das and Natalie 'www.closedforbusiness.co.uk' Adams have now been added to the page. Thanks guys! x
14th April, 2007

We're gonna be making our debut at 93 Feet East on 25th April 2007 supporting ATP darlings The Drones and playing alongside our friends in noise-outfit Made Out Of Wool. Its on Brick Lane in Shoreditch and its £6 7.00 - midnight. Lets hope no one gets pissy about payment...!
21st March, 2007
With the disappointing cancellation of Tommy Flynn's last week we've upped our efforts and are pleased to announce that we've got a brand new track recorded - the process has been kickstarted by plans fom the boys in Near Death Experiment to make a compilation CD of all the local bands that will be perfoming at the first Musictek festival to be held this summer (don't worry we'll give you all the details as we get them!)
Our plans for EP4 are shaping up nicely as well: another four track affair, this time recorded entirely at home, it should look something like this:
LEARNING IS FUN
THE PATH ILLOGICAL
I COULD CARE LESS
BROKEN THOUGHTS
But yeah.... Learning Is Fun is now finished. Get to the audio page and have a listen. We've definately raised our game in terms of producing a great sounding record - its surely the most rocking thing we've ever done! As well as featuring on the new disc its available to download too.
This is it for a couple of weeks though. Richard and Michael are off to America with their good friend Melissa to have a bunch of fun in the sun, returning on Friday 13th April, so until then...
12th March, 2007
TOMMY FLYNN'S - 14TH MARCH **CANCELLED**
Sorry guys! But the Lark In The Park photos are now up on the images section.
3rd March, 2007
Thanks to everyone who came down to Lark In The Park tonight, our first experience of this mental little pub was a good one thanks to you. Jaime was very excited not least because he was now back, fully configured to 'Rock'n'Roll', but also becasue his new Epiphone Les Paul Special made its debut.
The fact that there was no school the next day meant that everyone was partying hard and the ninja with only one finger was also in attendance, doing his thing (photos will be uploaded to the images section soon).
We have booked another show with Malcolm Griff this time at Tommy Flynn's in Camden, Wed 14th March which Luke assures us is a great venue. We hope to see you there!
22nd February, 2007
It looks like we'll be playing our Pacific Edge show on 27th as a three-piece because Jaime has been fighting some vicious shingles for the last week and a half. We've taken this unfortunate opportunity to mess around with the set a bit though which will mow include a few suprises.
The Pacific Edge: Tuesday Night Live is new and improved in 2007 with bands now playing downstairs and an acoustic stage upstairs. Details of the other acts on this bill to follow...
6th February, 2007
Thanks to all of you who made it to the Barfly last Thursday - was a truly awesome gig, great night of great music and we managed to pick up a load more new friends which is always cool!
The night was well documented by Natalie Adams @ Closed For Business and Luke 'TheOneFingerNinja' Das who were there taking photos which can now be seen on the images page.
There are a couple of videos on YouTube as well:
Masquerade
Dying A Death
Yes. It was loud!
15th January, 2007
HFTC MAKE THEIR BARFLY DEBUT
Obviously we're thrilled to be playing at the Barfly but this is our first gig of 2007 after the disapponting cancellation of the Pleasure Unit gig earlier this month (as well as the Bungle Jr gig in Feb!). We're playing in support of a band called The Release... you may have heard of them? Oh and its Thurdsay February 1st. We're including some lesser played tracks like Dying A Death and Masquerade in the set for this one.
Also added to the bill are our friends in Surface Ao Air and Carbon Footprint (who we caught at the Metro a few weeks back). Make sure you check these bands out...! See the Gig Listing for ticket details...
9th January, 2007
**PLEASURE UNIT SHOW CANCELLED**
Unfortunately the Pleasure Unit gig on the 12th has been cancelled - we're not entirely sure why but that is the word from the venue promoter.
1st January, 2007
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
- HFTC x
Its Friday night... there's been a fight... and Richard has been stabbed in the face with a Samurai sword... God bless Streetcrime UK!
Our first show of 2007 back (not-so)fresh from the seasons celebrations, HFTC promise to put fire back into your cold, damp, dark January night. What's the best way to shake those post-xmas, new year blues? With some powerful alternative rock and roll music of course! 12th JANUARY, THE PLEASURE UNIT (9.45 in the pm).
Flyers and details and shit will be posted as soon as we get em. Nearest tube is Bethnal Green on the Central line but you can always just bosh it to Liverpool St. - not far at all.
Kora doshi!
23rd November, 2006
Right, Michael's off to Australia for a month to celebrate xmas with his antipodean relatives and kick back, relax, see the sights, drink beer, drive (a lot!), eat BBQs, read, spend a fuckload of money, miss people and generally enjoy himself.
HFTC will be back to set off 2007 with a gig at The Pleasure Unit on 12th January 2007 though so don't get too comfortable!
3rd November, 2006
We played with a band last night who we'd not come across before (hell we didn't even know they were on the bill until we met them at soundcheck) and here at the HFTC website we fell its only fair and right that we make the beautiful people reading these pages aware of a cool band when we finds one.
Black Fiction
1st November, 2006
This carefully selected bill is brought to you by Vicky and Jess at Flat Pak Yak promotions Flat Pak Yak and includes The Amazing Flying Machine, Doll & The Kicks and Rubik.
Situated right near Fenchurch Street (c2c) or Tower Hill (District/Circle line) the Departure Bar couldn't be easier to get to (well unless you live in like Galapogos or something!) so come and rock the fuck out with us!
Tickets for this gig will be available direct from us very soon...
Also, any yuppie you wanna abuse while you're at it is cool with us too!
23rd October 2006
Ok kids, if there was ever a HFTC gig you were gonna wanna see you should probably make it this one! Coupla reasons yeah...
Our friend and Child of Medicine Luke Das is putting on this fundraising gig to raise money for Alzheimer's sufferers:
A) There are only 2 bands on the bill (incl. us!) meaning we get to play and extended set.
B)That other band is awesome. They're called The Flow (linkery) and many of you love them!
C) All this brilliant extra music is gonna cost you half the amount of a normal gig at only £2!!
Nice.
For security reasons at the venue they have requested that we provide a guest list for them to allow entry so all we ask is that if you plan on coming to this one (and you bloody should be!) then LET US KNOW and we'll put you down. Just bring your ID along on the night and everything will be coming up [insert your name here]!!
Its at the Queens University Medic Student Union on 31st October 2006 (nearest tube = Whitechapel). Starts at 8.00pm. To avoid disappointment book now blah blah blah - we look forward to hearing from you!
17th October 2006
Due to technical difficulties the info@hungerforthecrash.com email address had been a little shoddy but thats all been smoothed out now so email away to your heart's content. Thanks to everyone who sent in EPs requests - we'll be sending your copy out immediately. Make sure you let us know your thoughts!
5th October 2006
Irashaimasu to you on this completely non-descript Tuesday morning! Just to let you know we have three more shows booked:
- The first is 27th October, a week this Friday, at the Queen Mary University - Medics SU. Its a fund-raising gig for Alzheimer's sufferers and we're very pleased to be playing with such an established act as The Flow. Its cheaper than the gigs we've been playing recently too at £2. You're gonna need to let us know if you're coming to this one though due to new security measures at the Union...
- The next is the Wed after on the 1st November. This is extremely local to many of you at The Departure Bar right near Fenchurch Street and Tower Hill stations. Vicky and Jess at Flak Pak Yak have put on a great bill of apparently complementary bands including Rubik, Doll & The Kicks, Minus IQ and The Amazing Flying Machine...
- HFTC will be out of action for the last week of Nov and the entirety of December but we'll be back right after xmas kicking off the new year with a show at the Pleasure Unit (nearest tube - Bethnal Green). Thats on Friday 12th January 2007.
...FOR FURTHER INFORMATION ON ALL GIGS SEE OPPOSITE OR THE GIG LISTING ON OUR MySpace
25th September 2006
Many of you have been asking about EP4 - well we're hoping to have it completed early next year (and yes it WILL include new live favourite 'Broken Thoughts'!).
8th September 2006
A quick reminder that Bungle Jr and Tool will be performing again at Pacific Edge, Romford on Tuesday 7th November but there'll be plenty of notice about that. It's gonna be a riot!!
28th July, 2006
Tonight we braved the Rude Bwoiees' God-Awful-Car meet ("Gizza choooooon mayte!", "Wotch da faaaaaakain paynte yeh?!"), the ex-con mentalists with their tatooed faces and extremely volatile dispositions and the repugnant pregnant 'ladies' with their drinking, fighting and badly-applied sanitary products - to play @ the Minerva on Southend Sea front. We were playing on a bill of great music including Argelico (thats Arj-uh-LEEEE-co!), Patience Cleveland and our friends from Threemovements presented by Youwillgetwet Bookings. Thanks to all of you that made it down to this one - it was a great night all told!
Didn't manage to catch the sound guys name as he was run off his feet all night but we wanted to thank him for his efforts - the triggered bass drum was most fun!
It was great to see/hear Ms. Caroline Lyons' debut with 3M, PC were punishing as ever and it was unfortunate that many people started to leave since the final band Argelico had a blinder of a set!
19th July, 2006
We've been rehearsing once a week for the past few weeks and have settled into a pleasing routine of awesome band practices. Ray has installed some lovely new monitors for the PA in our little practice space at Farm Studios in Upminster and along with the new microphones there and the new gear Jaime and Michael have acquired our sound is fuller and more dynamic than ever.
Our attention has been turned more towards EP 4 as well. We are now rehearsing 3 of the 4 tracks that will make up this record including new live favourite 'Broken Thoughts', the previewed 'Learning Is Fun' and our newest headfuck 'The Path Illogical'. The last track to make up EP 4 will be a more mellow affair tentatively titled 'I Could Care Less' which we hope will help the integration of HFTC keys/samples/atmospherics. We'll keep you updated...
11th July, 2006
TONIGHTS GIG @ O'NEILLS, BLACKHEATH **CANCELLED**
For the first time in our 7 year gigging history, HFTC are forced to cancel a show due to injury and illness. Its a shame because this was the second heat of the Carling Undiscovered Live 2006 competition which we were looking forward to winning. We don't plan for this to be our only chance of playing the Islington Academy though!
Unlike our myspace promised, and very much unlike Kirsten Dunst, we didn't bring anything on...
23rd June, 2006
Tonight we were back at MusicTek with the Near Death Experiment boys (who were the best we had ever seen them: tighter, harder, louder!!!) headlining the all ages Friday night! Several delays meant that we took to the stage a little later than scheduled and so the drink curfew unfortunately culled the hoards of kids that were there for most of the night (some of the girls were lucky actually to get out before a post gig, pissed-up, jailbait-hungry Jaime Dean Taylor was unleashed!). It impressed us though - the amount of kids MusicTek 'accomodates' on these nights - they gave us our biggest crowd yet (see the live section of our images page for evidence and also for some pictures by a nice guy called Troy)!
We also met up with a photographer called Sarah Kosminsky from Dead Duck Productions who has very kindly offered to take some live shots of us in the near future as well as sort out some promo shots so be watching out for those!
We're gonna be back at the 'Tek soon for another Friday night but hopefully play earlier to give the kids a chance to witness our show in all its glory!
7th June, 2006
Following last nights performance we were back on form for tonight! It was heat one of the Carling Undiscovered Live 2006 competition held at various O'Neills pubs around the country - ours was in Blackheath. We were expecting to play a four song set including a cover (as stipulated by the organizers) but due to a lack of competition - the other bands decided not to show up - we were told to play for about an hour and a half! We quickly whipped up a set, dusting off some ancient covers (My Name Is Jonas, Christie Road, Siva) and with the aid of some muscle memory we manage to win over even the most indifferent of pub-goers!
Our beacon in the crowd was one Tom Brown who told us afterward that he saw an disinterested crowd, annoyed at first that a band had started up interrupting their pub merriment, turn quiet with interest and attention and them become enthusiastic about the music they were hearing, giving us a much needed lift!
Unfortunately we weren't able to take advantage of the copious amounts of alcohol we were offered from several new fans we had made - not least because we simply wouldn't have had time to drink them! - but we appreciated the support nontheless. A special thanks to the Trinity contingent that rocked along with us throughout! It felt great to be able to wing a gig and play for so long, material that hadn't been played for ages in a pretty uncomfortable environment for us (it was a contsnt battle to keep under the volume meter that was threatening to cut our power at any moment!)
HFTC local pub gig #2 = Success!
6th June, 2006
Today's date marked the most METAL of evenings at Pacific Edge. It was the first time we played downstairs and playing a set of metal covers it should have been a fun night but due to exploding PAs, some 'unfortunate' sound engineering and some mad-as-fuck rushed rehersals we were reduced to mere shadows of our usual selves. Matt seemed disappointed in the turn out as well which kinda summed up the entire evening's atmosphere. Several covers made their debut at this gig including No Association, Circle Pit and new band favourite Kindergarten.
Thanks to Dan, Graham, Ema, the NDE boys (who were noisy as hell themselves!), Paul, Amber and Matt for the support - we felt really upset that you didn't get to see us on fire after making the effort. We will make it up to you! \ , , /
5th June, 2006
First Farm Studios rehersal for quite a while (hot hot hot!) in preparation for the 06/06/06 Metal Covers night that we're playing tomorrow at Pacific Edge. Lots of orchestra concerts, exams, university completing, tiredness, alcohol, rock operas, Greek myth, increased job responsibility, apathy and the new TOOL album stood in the way of getting much done in the last month or so but thats cool becasue we have two gigs this week, a few coming up in the next month and some in the proverbial pipeline later in the year! Nice.
We took some photo's from this session and a few are up on the myspace page but we'll update the images section here soon with all the rest.
5th May, 2006
Hunger For The Crash headlined a 'Culture Promotions' showcase night at the Walthamstow Standard with support from Rusty China Doll and Fans Of He-man (whose frontman/rapper not only called himself Skelator but even found time to answer his mobile phone mid-set only to inform the pesky caller that he "Carn torwk naarh man innit! Am perf-ommin' l'ah....". This was all much to the anger and disgust of the other He-man Fans! Great stuff!).
We got to meet 'Culture...' main man Andy Chipps and share stories of football violence (mostly West Ham much to Jaime and Paul's delight), good beer and crap bands. We rocked the hell out of the small contingent of AFI fans that had congregated near the bar as well as Andy himself (which was nice to know) and it was probably the most we've enjoyed a gig for a long time! (This is ignoring the fact that they managed to get our name wrong on the poster - twice(!!) calling us 'Hunger For Cash'. Mmmmm.... shit!). A lot of credit must go to stand-in sound engenieer Rhona who was (by her own admission) quite mental but who also did a brilliant job!
We will definately be playing here again and we will definately be getting everyone down for it because it will fucking rule, thats fer true!
25th April, 2006
April has mainly consisted of much practising at Farm Studios in Upminster, usually on a Sunday evening or dans le garage a la Michael on a weekday after work/study depending on who is concerned and we've been extremely happy with results. We're now tighter than ever before, more comfortable and more controlled. We're slowly amounting better and better gear as well which is helping us forge that desired sound.
Also in April, MusicTek held a reunion gig for Alternative S.I.T.E. winners Bungle Junior and the two runner-up bands Slipknot (Blue Harvest) and Pearl Jam (Hadleigh Ford). Unfortunately Alex, Dan and the saxophonists could not make it so Charly, Michael and Richard returned with their Tool tribute band (along with the help of the talented Mr. Ian Wilson). The gig was recorded and filmed for a souvenir DVD which will be made available to anyone who wants a copy as soon as its mastered (as usual contact info@hungerforthecrash.com or get hold of one of us on myspace blah blah...). So pleased with the live recording were the MusicTek guys that Richard and Michael went down a few days later to help mix it. Thanks to Ben and Dave for making it such and enjoyable show and for being so enthusiastic about future projects - its great to actually meet people who care - we'll be seeing you soon! (An audio CD of our set will also be made available, again just let us know...)
We're back in May with our first gig for a while at the Standard - details to follow soon.
15th March, 2006
So last weekend was a weird one: Saturday we played at the Oakwood in Eastwood and were effectively thrown out!! This in itself was all very nice and R'n'R etc but though it wasn't our fault, we felt terrible for all you awesome people who did make it down there. It meant a lot to us esp as it wasn't cheap for some - Thank you!
It was our first experience of the pub gig and the more DIY method that it requires. Organizing and hauling around, unloading, setting up and packing up a lot more extra gear than we are used to was an experience. This included mics and cables (vox & drums) and stands, a mixer, a PA et speakers (cheers Ray!), two 500w wedge monitors et amp on top of all the usual weaponry. The whole thing was made a hell of a lot easier thanks to the van we acquired though so big shout out to Mel for that!
There were a few more nerves than usual because it was also the first time we'd gigged in this way (ie being our own engineer) but we managed a great sound according to all who witnessed it and before the first verse of Siva was over we were were already back to our normal mindset. We even managed to throw in an impromptu Masquerade which was most satisfying!
The set was tragically brought to an end though (and I say tragically because the reggae-tastic HFTC version of 'Once Upon A Time In The West' never got its due) when we were informed at the end of our first set that we were simply too loud. WTF?! Too many locals expecting the usual 90s pop classics covers band were getting their knickers in a twist apparently and Landlady Sally (or the 'sour old witch' as one local lady described her) felt that she had to throw some cash at us and pull the plug. This was all done with blatant disregard for the locals that WERE rocking with us. It made no sense.
Once word had slowly made its way around that we weren't returning to the stage about 50 of the more open minded people of Southend left in disgust/protested to the bar staff then left in disgust/came and complemented us then protested to the bar staff then left in disgust or generally got themselves involved in the huge wave of disappointment and disbelief that that proceeded to flood the pub. We were told by many that we have to play Southend again soon (we're thinking probably Chinnery's and Club Rega/Cricketers guys so watch out for dates...thanks for the support!) so if all goes to plan we'll be seeing you guys soon to make up for this disappointment.
March I think is gonna be a quiet one for us but rest assured that we'll be back again in April gearing up for the summer...
1st March, 2006
The Shiznitz All-dayer at Pacific Edge on Sunday was a great success - thanks to all who came and supported incl. the bands we shared the bill with (Blue Harvest and InHiding - check em out!). We previewed an edited version of the as yet unfinished masterpiece of rock monolithica that is (or will be!) 'Learning Is Fun'. We can't wait for you guys to hear this one! Opening with Broken Thoughts was pretty intense - Charly absolutely nailed the vox! They really need to get some stage lights in that place though...
Anyway... thanks to everyone who has been getting involved with HFTC on myspace. The support is constantly growing and we're finding some awesome new bands ourselves (you know who you are!) - we'll be seeing you in the near future.
We'll have some new pics up as soon as they get edited (damn lighting!)
New Tool album/dates imminent - shits yeah!!!
Word... (for windows)
3rd February, 2006
BUNGLE JR TAKE 1st PLACE at the Pacific Edge Alternative S.I.T.E. competition!!! We played much better and enjoyed ourselves even more than previously in our heat and though we totally didn't expect to win (mainly due to the hot competition from Pearl Jam, Slipknot, APC and Ben Folds Five - all of whom were excellent!) we were overjoyed that we did! The crowd reaction was absolutley awesome - a great night.
HFTC will benefit muchly from the prize money and hopefully this will be proven in the upcoming gigs (listed below - proper gig listing page thingy coming soon!)
So... its heads down and back to work - much practising, planning, organising and burning to be done...
30th January, 2006
HFTC GIG: WAFFLE ALL-DAYER, PACIFIC EDGE, ROMFORD, 26th FEBRUARY 2006, 9.00pm!!!! - Thanks to our reception at the last event, Matt has asked us back to headline the 'Pacific Edge Big All Dayer'. Since its a Sunday and all that jazz we've managed to bag ourselves and sweet 9.15 slot on the Rock/Metal stage so make sure you get down for that. We also have new gear to test out in the live situation so expect more dynamic and muscle than ever before!!
19th January, 2006
So Bungle Jr made it through their heat of the S.I.T.E. competition at Pacific Edge last week! Thanks to everyone who came to support, drink, dance, laugh, judge and heckle. Well done to all the other bands who got through esp. Pearl Jam, APC and Ben Folds Five. Tool also went extemely well, the reaction has been so positive that we're absolutely gonna do more with it in the future. See you all on the 1st Feb for the final!
Back to HFTC... we are booked to play THE OAKWOOD in SOUTHEND on SAT 11th MARCH. This will be our first foray into the 'pub gig' and we're quite excited at the prospect of pissing off lots of Southend locals with some very loud guitars (which reminds me: Michael gets his new amp this week - be afraid!). We're playing all night so you'll hear all you faves (even the oldies woo!) and probably a bunch of new covers too.
"Love is... love is... love is the drug..."
We will soon be having weekly rehersals at The Farm studios helping us become the live band that we've always known we can be but have thus far only really hinted at. We're optimistic and excited about 2006 being a good, productive year for us.
Just lastly, a shout out to all our new friends on myspace (spread the word!) - we'll be seeing you soon.
3rd January, 2006
Happy New Year boys and girls! The HFTC battleplan for 2006 is gig, gig, gig, gig, gig, gig, giggedy giggedy goo etc. Hopefully we'll be able to slip the new EP in there somewhere too. We're massively excited about the new songs!
Thanks to everyone who came down to the All-Dayer in December - it was awesome playing again, especially now Jaime is back in town and with a set including songs we'd never performed before (The Great Before/Neverchange). Previewing Broken Thoughts was a highlight too (oh and apologies to Pacific Edge for breaking your lighting!). Massive thanks to Ellis for the awesome new photos - Dean, I can't believe you didn't get fighted like you promised me you would. Bastard!!
Anyway, in other news - Bungle Jr will be making their explosive debut in the S.I.T.E. competition at Pacific Edge on Wed 11th Jan alongside Tool (both bands containing memebers of HFTC), Weezer, Pearl Jam and various other cover bands so make sure you get along to that!
And finally for anyone on myspace go to www.myspace.com/hungerforthecrash and add us since we finally got it going proper.
Take care...
5th November, 2005
HFTC GIG: WAFFLE ALL-DAYER, PACIFIC EDGE, ROMFORD, 18th DECEMBER 2005, 5.15pm!!!! - having played here before at 75% strength (Jaime being in the 'shire), a 3-piece HFTC filled in for a cancelled band last minute and had a lot of fun (bar the mic that seeemed to really enjoy painfully shocking Michael as he sang) but here we are... our first full strength gig post recording the EPs. There will be a couple of never-played-live-before songs in the set as well as some oldies that we rock now better than ever. There will be the obligatory cover and also we hope to premiere aforementioned new song Broken Thoughts. Jackanackanory!!
A gigs page will be added to the site when more gigs are booked. Playing live is now the main focus for us so we hope to see you all soon...
3rd October, 2005
Site update: mp3 previews of each ep are now available on the audio page. A couple of typos have been ironed out, new pics in the images section. The band section is now also finished.
20th September, 2005
We've decided to abandon an old plan we had to make individual EPs available for free at gigs to make way for the forthcoming brand spanking new EP. This disc will include new tracks Learning Is Fun (possibly the heaviest most rocking thing we've ever done), The Path Illogical (a pleasingly headfuckish song!), -untitled- (the slowburner) and Broken Thoughts (v. proud of this song. Charly heavy, reminiscent of Lumen).
These songs still need to be finished but are sounding fantastic even in their infancy. Once recorded EP4 will be made available at all future gigs.

Thanks to everyone who has purchased their copy of the EPs - the support has been awesome. We've managed to get several practices out of the funds raised and plenty of people are still asking us for copies... Keep 'em coming!
Practices are pretty much twice weekly now and probably the most productive we've ever had. Plenty of new stuff to be working on too which is exciting...

The site is now uploaded! slightly behind schedule, but hey. There's a few things still to come, like details in 'the band' section and more recent rehearsal / broadstairs photos etc...
No gigs lined up yet, but we'll update the site as soon as we get something booked.

Today is our first Gerpin's Farm practice for ages, cameraman Dean is coming along to take some photos for the website. He is a dude.

Website making gets delayed by computer death.
3rd July, 2005
Today we started work on the new website, registering the domain name, creating email accounts blah blah. Currently fiddling around with layouts etc, hoping to get everything up and running within a week or so.
A few people have already bought their copies of the EPs collection, and we've got some great feedback.
1st July, 2005
The last few weeks have been spent mixing the EPs and designing the artwork. After a fashion they are now ready, and the pile on top of the monitor is building up gradually (printing the covers etc. ourselves is time consuming!). Individual EPs (4 tracks each) will be handed out at gigs, while for £5 people can buy a full 12 track CD containing all three. For more information see the audio page, or email info@hungerforthecrash.com.
Now we can get back to some serious gigging (after catching up on sleep - and practice)!

We're currently working on the new EP so we'll be booking shows as this nears completion
